Just got off the phone with long time friend and original CRAP family member Matt Powers. Growing up, Matt used to be a bleach-blond-headed surf grom, sponsored, doing contests etc etc. A few years back, Matt pretty much quit surfing and got really into cars and drifting.
Fast forward: Powers just shook up the drifting world when he finished 4th in the final pro event of the season. (Read the full interview here)
People were blown away that a kid with a sub-pro car and setup could hang with the big dogs.
Powers doesn’t even have any sponsors (except of course for CRAP).
