This is our good bud John Zappas. He's funny as shit, and also an incredible artist/ creative freak.
John is part of an artist collective in San Diego called Yeller. These kids are making shit happen down south; they're a huge part of SD's growing art scene. Next month (Sat July 11) they're having their second group show, this time at Octopus Ink's Wharffice space on Driscoll's Wharf. The show has an aptly chosen Aquatic theme, so get ready for some really epic work.
