Man, this is gonna be a music-filled week! First up we have our close friend The Beehive Spirit releasing a new EP. They’re from SF.

The album cover was actually a sketch that Nick (of CRAP) drew on a road trip up to Seattle last year:

Go here to stream and download it. Next up is another friend, Jesse Woods, coming out of Austin, TX. His new EP is about to be released, but more on that later. For now, listen to this cover he did of the Neon Indian track Mind, Drips. And if you dig it, heart it on HypeM and hook a brotha up!

Jesse’s on a Western US tour right now, and this Sunday he’s playing a daytime show with The Beehive Spirit at Milkbar in San Francisco. More info here.

CRAP friends French Horn Rebellion are on tour right now with Cut Copy in Northern Europe, so to all our E.U. homies out there, get on it! This is a photo of Robert from when FHR was last in town:

I took him and his brother surfing… dudes are hilarious (and actually the best beginners I’ve ever seen)… all Robert was doing was walking around in his wetsuit, visor and shades singing that song by their buddies’ band The Drums.

Scope the new Kid Sister video that just came out for her track Big N Bad. One of the scenes is Kid Sis on top of Curt from Flosstradamus‘ LeBaron, with A-Trak sitting shotgun. Look closely, Curt’s wearing a pair of Flat Black Nudie Mags.

Nick’s brother Andy runs a badass headwear company called The Ampal Creative. tAc just released a behind the scenes video from their latest lookbook shoot:

Our good friend Mike is throwing a killer music festival in Orange County this September, The Pacific Festival. The lineup has yet to be released, but from what little info I’ve been able to coax out of him, this thing’s gonna be wild. He’s partnering with Steve Aoki on the project, and they just released a little teaser video of Steve and Mark the Cobrasnake goofing around. Mark’s wearing some CRAP Beach Partys – Black Fronts, White Sides (which we’ll be restocking in the coming weeks).

Remember when I posted this photo a few months ago?

It seems like yesterday when I was a grom at Windansea looking up to the Dunfee brothers, and although a lot of time has passed since then, they’re still as gnarly as ever! Taylor (right) now lives up in LA shooting photos and making art:

His twin brother Derek is still calling San Diego home, but spends his time chasing swells around the world, charging like a madman (which he documents on his blog). Ever since winning the Billabong XXL Monster Paddle Award in 2009 for an extremely haggard wave he caught at Mavericks, Derek’s finally been getting the credit he deserves. Like this photo on surfline from the 4th of July swell:

“Tube of the swell”?!? So sick! Anyway, there’s a film coming out about Derek, and Taylor was in charge of the art direction, so it’s sure to be an epic one. The premiere is going down next week in La Jolla, so come out and show some support for the humblest hellion around!

KID SISTER (& BROTHER)

Those of you that know my younger brother Brian know about his disposition for throwing CRAP shades at musicians during shows. The other night out in NYC he went to see Kid Sister (bad ass Chicago rapper on Fool’s Gold). Anyway, his friend Crissy handed her shades to Kid Sis (big ups Crissy!), who apparently replied in the mic “Girlll, you know it took me 45 minutes to do these eyes, I’ll wear these later!”

Kid Sister is the real sister of Young Josh, 1/2 of Flosstradamus. Coincidentally, the other half of Floss is our homie Curt, who sometimes DJs for Kid Sis during live shows. Here’s a shot of Curt in some Beach Partys on Jimmy Kimmel Live:

If you’re on it then you know we’ve been working on a collabo with Flosstradamus for a while now, more details on that REAL soon, I promise. Have a good weekend, a wild ass Malibu house party is in store for the CRAP crew!!!
