Our buddy Rasta Lou just sent us over a vid of him and his homies shredding in venice. Makes me never wanna try and hit that quarterpipe again. At around 2:50 you can spot lou enjoying a refreshing 4-oh in a classy pair of Juan Jovis.

My buddy Zoo just hit me with a clip from the archives. A couple years back, when Zoo had a half pipe in his living room (he lived on the second floor of our apartment complex), CRAP sponsored a skate contest/party deal thing type party event party… the SHADES ON FADES ON SKATE-A-THON (our loyal readers will remember the post). Aside from the singles event and mandatory costume contest, there was also a doubles portion. Zoo and I teamed up, enjoy:

Charged down to San Diego today. Went for a surf then headed into PB to visit some friends.

Dropped by Pacific Drive to visit Poo Screen and Tosh.

Then headed down the street to Lefty’s Barber Shop to visit one of the oldest members of the CRAP family.

Felipe (Becerra) is our good friend and long-time supporter of CRAP. He was around drinking beers with us when we first threw around the idea for a sunglass brand, and will be quick to remind you that he came up with the CRAP name (though nick may tell you otherwise haha).

Anyway, Felipe put his surf career on the back burner to become a barber. He still shreds every morning (and still kills it), but now he also cuts mean-ass haircuts for a living.

It’s classic to see all the Windansea homies lookin sharp these days – ever since Flea started working at Lefty’s it’s been free pomps all around!

Earlier that afternoon, Justin from Insight grabbed a gee-tar and played a sick cover of Neutral Milk Hotel’s In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. Not only is Justin a retired pro skater, a basically pro bass fisherman and an insane artist, he also plays in a rad band called The Maitlins out of Seal Beach, CA. Oh and he’s wearing some FLAT BLACK NUDIE MAGS WITH BLUE REVO LENSES when he absolutely destroys this cover. Big ups!
