About the Freelance Digital Designer Role
Crap Eyewear is looking for a Freelance Digital Designer to join our growing team, supporting the day-to-day production of our digital creative across ecommerce, email, SMS, web, and other marketing channels. Our ideal candidate is passionate about design, culturally-fluent and looking for hands on experience translating on-brand creative across a variety of platforms.
This is a remote, freelance role.
Requirements:
- Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week as follows:
- Available for scheduled meetings during PST work hours.
- Option to work Tuesdays in person at our Venice office.
Responsibilities:
Our workplace is dynamic, supportive and inclusive. We pride ourselves in being a collaborative, open-minded and imaginative team. The Freelance Digital Designer will work closely with our Growth and Brand Marketing teams to support campaigns, product launches, and ongoing site updates.
- Email and SMS design and production:
- Process approved creative assets from Figma for email use.
- Crop, resize and export assets in Photoshop.
- Use the Klaviyo template builder to prepare email templates for campaigns and flows.
- Crop, resize and export hero images for SMS campaigns.
- Creative post-production
- Process lookbook and lifestyle imagery for all channels (web, social, etc): rename, resize, export, compress
- Web / Shopify
- Prepare assets for Shopify product detail pages (PDPs), including product and lifestyle photos, fit videos, featured reviews and UGC content.
- Support Marketing to refresh product pages with new UGC content on a seasonal basis.
- Prepare assets for new Shopify content pages as needed, including lookbooks, blogs, and brand landing pages.
- Work with Head of Growth to workshop new landing page concepts.
- Digital Design
- Assist with the production of seasonal promotional graphics and creative.
- Prepare assets for relevant channels: email, sms, social.
- General Support
- Support light wholesale, or showroom assets (resizing and formatting).
- Provide digital design support to the Head of Brand Marketing, Head of Growth Marketing and Digital Marketing Associate.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Figma, Photoshop, and digital asset post-production.
- Experience with Shopify or similar web 2.0 CMS platforms.
- Experience with Klaviyo or similar email template builders.
- Related prior work experience/internship/education.
- Ability to work independently within a small team.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple small requests efficiently.
- Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.

- Compensation range for this role is $26-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience
